A VERY NICE LINE OF PTIC ( 3 IN 1 ) SOUTH DEVON COWS AND CALVES, 5 - 10 YEARS OLD, WEIGHING 599KG LESS -5% DEL AT ASSESSMENT, WITH THEIR CALVES AVE 245KG AT FOOT. COWS WERE PURCHASED OFF AUCTIONS PLUS LAST MAY OFF "BRUMFORD" AT GLEN INNES. COWS ARE PREDOMINATELY LARGE TO VERY LARGE FRAMED AND PRESENT FROM STRONG STORE CONDITION THROUGH TO GOOD FAT CONDITION. CALVES ARE SIRED BY BROOKSBY AND WAITARA ANGUS BULLS, WITH THEIR MOTHERS DOING AN OUTSTANDING JOB ON THEM. A SAMPLE OF COWS WERE MOUTHED AT PREG TESTING AND HAD SOUND MOUTHS, 8 GREEN EARTAG COWS DEEMED TO BE YOUNGER THAN THE 12 YELLOW TAGGED FEMALES.
