The Cows handled well through the yards and crush, the odd cow would stir up under pressure. Generally through the bigger yards cows are free flowing, however do block up when asked. Please note, 81 Cows were weighed to establish weight range and average.

Approx. 203 x 197 Brahman and Composite Cows and Calves. This mixed age mob of cows is an ideal article to grow calves and freshen the cows for the slaughter market. The cows range in quality from Fair to Good, with a spread of frame size from small to large, with approx. 30% small frame, 60% medium and 10% large frame. At assessment the cows weighed from 280-562kg to ave. 386kg after being in the yards overnight off water and feed. The calves weighed from 30-213kg to ave. 100kg. At assessment, the cows worked well through the yards, with the odd cow stirring under pressure, these cows are free moving through the gates and yards, however, respond well to block up. There will be the odd cow with a hip down, capped hip and small dog bite, one cow noted with a growth on the shin, one calf has a Roman nose. These cows and calves will fatten and grow out on good feed. Please Note Cows without a Calf at delivery will be sold at $150/head less.
