Assessor Comments
A nice line of quiet tempered, station mated Angus cow & calf units, on their 1st calf. These heifers are developing well, presenting in store, to forward store condition, with good frame & producing plenty of milk, which is contributing to the high growth rate for age of the ALPINE Angus sired calves at foot. These young cows are freshening well on the available Ryecorn stubbles, & would put considerable weight on quickly given access to more abundant pastures, which in turn, would also make them more suitable for a continued joining as the current drop of young calves mature. Calves have mostly been marked & vaccinated 15/1/25, with 1 calf marked at assessment. A great opportunity to secure quality young breeders in the prime of their lives, which have calved with ease to top quality ALPINE Angus sires & a lifetime of production ahead of them. A sound opportunity to replace older breeders with young ones, which will become increasingly hard to find with a seasonal break in the Autumn
