Heifers were calm & quiet in the paddock & in the drafting/working yards of the cattleyards. 7 heifers stirred up a little when caught in the head bail for mouthing. All heifers settled well when released from the crush & returned to the mob.

Assessor Comments
A quality line of well bred Angus first calf heifers & calves. The heifers are displaying good frame & are presenting mostly in store condition, having come from tough seasonal conditions in Victoria. They are starting to clean up in the coat with the warmer weather, & are just starting to move forward in condition, on more available feed, With the calf now on the ground, they offer a good opportunity to add considerable weight & value quickly. These heifers have large, well developed udders & are doing a terrific job nurturing a very even drop of sappy calves at foot which are exuding quality & are showcasing very good weight for age gains. Calves have been marked & vaccinated at assessment, with a very large percentage of steer calves, outnumbering the heifers 17 to 4, making them an attractive proposition for future increased value of the calves into feeder markets. A great opportunity to capitalise on very favourable change over rates of prime older breeders into quality young cows
