At Eynesbury cows have run in paddocks 200-500 acres in size and in mobs of 80 to 120. Handled on a limited basis and yarded only when necessary (calf marking, preg testing, weaning) At assessment the remaining 50 calves were separated and sold, 140 sold 2 weeks prior. I have handled cattle through all of these stages and find them very well behaved under the circumstances. Cattle haven't seen a bale of hay for 2 years!!!

"Mainland breeding herd dispersal"
A breeding program began 4 years ago with these Western District bought females and now there being offered as PTIC cows in the prime of there breeding life. I've overseen these cows for the last 2.5 years and handled them at every stage. The life cycle of a Eynesbury agistment cow, calve unassisted in Mar/April (yards can be 6-8km away), mark calves in late May drench cows and disperse bulls that arrive from Tasmania for joining till July, pregnancy test Sept, wean calves late Spring then do it all again. 2021 started with 202 PTIC cows, marked 195 calves, no cow losses, 191 back in calf, 193 calves sold @ $2112.04 average. Expect each lot to have 5-6 cows with white on udder and up to 2 with a cloudy eye. Preg certificate shows 324 tested in September (117 younger PTIC cows that had calves weaned early then sent to new agistment block in W/District) Calf prices attached in documents.
