The cows were mostly good to handle in the yards and through the race and crush. Two became slightly agitated in the crush while another 4 head became highly agitated in the crush. Most did not like being mouthed. They were settled in the yards except for two head that kept moving trying to get to the back of the yard before settling for the photos and videos.

A good to very good quality line of vendor bred Charolais and Ultrablack/Charolais cows. They are preg tested in calf to either Ultrablack or Charolais bulls. One head was under 4 months in calf while 22 head were 4 months plus in calf. They range from two maiden heifers rising 2 years old through an even split of ages up to four cows rising 8 years old. Ages were identified from age brands and where not visible cows were mouthed with a mix of 2 tooths to good sound mouths. Two cows with slight blue spots in one eye. One cow with moderate bottle teats (see photos) and another cow knocked her off horn during assessment causing it to bleed slightly. They are located right on the Leichhardt Hwy between The Gums and Moonie and would work in with trucks moving north and south.
