Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality run of British and British/Euro cross heifers all on their first calf. These heifers are mostly medium frame with 20% assessed as large frame. It is expected that most of these heifers would continue to grow given the right conditions. Young cows that are quiet and well handled and worked through the yards with no fuss. Clean around the head either being polled or well dehorned with only one cow showing a small amount of horn on one side of her head. Please Note; one cow does have old blue scarring on one eye, not deemed detrimental. These cows and calves were mustered in the morning of Friday, drafted at lunchtime then trucked 100km to vendors yards where they had access to low quality straw and water over night and assessed the following morning. As a result cows may appear slightly tucked up and lighter in condition in photos and videos than if they had been assessed full.
