Overall these females were good to handle. A couple of females were unsettled when pressure was applied in the yards but once taken off they settled down. Cattle handled well through the race/crush and on the scales. These females have been educated to move when pressure is applied but also settle when the pressure is off.

Assessor Comments
Quality line of 2021 drop PTIC Angus heifers. Females are PTIC for a 6 week calving to commence late August 2023. Joined to low birthweight Scott’s & Shacorrahdalu Angus sires, EBVs attached. The vendor has been using the highest quality Angus genetics available in their herd with a focus on Birthweight, 600Day Weight, IMF & Positive Fats. Heifers will mature into highly productive breeders which will offer great genetic gain for the purchaser running a selfreplacing herd. The Galimbang cattle have a history of performing exceptionally well on feed and are highly sort after by repeat feedlot buyers. These females are classed in retained breeders with the original plan to be used within the Galimbang herd. Due to later calving, heifers are not suited to vendor’s program and are being offered to the market. Buyers please note 3 hfrs with an old eye blemish & 4 hfrs with an active eye scarring caused by seasonal grasses, treated at assessment. 2 hfrs noted with white on their navel.
