Heifers that tended to want to push away from the handler and were looking for the gateway. Majority handled fine when going through the crush to be weighed, but approximately 20% were agitated ranging from slightly stirry to stirry. Heifers had been through the race and crush already this morning for preg testing and eartagging, and were certainly more agitated on their second time through.

Heifers carrying Ardrossan Angus and Jarobee Angus bloodlines for many years, PTIC to selected LBW Hazeldean and Jarobee Angus bulls to commence calving 1st week August on a not quite 8 week joining. Vendor bred in the rolling hills of the South/East Slopes, these heifers are surplus to requirements after the vendor has completed a stocktake on numbers and decided some breeders have to move on. Brooksby Pastoral progeny are renowned for performance in both feedlot and grass situations with these heifers presenting in generally fresh store condition in preparation for their upcoming calving. Offering 75 heifers in 3 lots of 25 as a run out the gate. Note 24 heifers were drafted off the mob and are being offered as the fourth lot in this sale as a single lot. Noted a very odd heifer with white on udder area.
