Assessor Comments
A good line of Te Mania, Alumy Creek & Farrer blood Angus first-calvers, with Cornerstone Angus sired calves at foot. These heifers are medium in frame, with good conformation. They are producing a good supply of milk, and demonstrating strong maternal instincts towards the fresh, evenly sexed, calves at foot, which were marked & vaccinated at assessment (12 steers & 13 heifers). Heifers are presenting a little varied in fat score, ranging from store to very fresh condition, with access to only a short pick of feed due to dry Autumn conditions, however they possess the frame & bone structure to offer good compensatory gains with access to more abundant pastures or forage crop. Heifers have had access to the vendors Te Mania Angus bull since calving, for a short period only. A great opportunity to secure a quality line of young breeders, with an even line of Angus calves at foot, Vendor is offering another a line of 17 x 17 one-mark, good quality Angus first calvers this sale also.
