Heifers were reasonably well behaved in the yards, very good in the crush, all bar 5, just standing and then exiting at a walk, the named 4, just doing a bit of shifting about & displaying some anxious behaviour. In the yards the heifers were mostly sensible, just one that had a bigger flight zone, and wanted a bit more space to feel comfortable. In the holding paddock, once the heifers were blocked up they stood well for photos, prior to blocking, they wanted to march a bit & find a gate.

Very nice line of young heifers, boasting 30 years of select Rennylea genetics in their pedigree. Vendor runs a closed herd of 800 classed in breeders under a stud like structure, with a target of sending 480kg feeders out the gate by November (15 months). Extensive A.I programs in place with a goal of continuing to improve herd performance. Sires are selected for feet, temperament and general structure, but with a focus on high 400 day weight, moderate mature cow weight, low/moderate birth weight (always below 3.5) These heifers are PTIC to Rennylea blood sires.
