Quite well mannered females considering they haven’t had a lot of handling. A few (6) were quite nervous in the crush since being preg tested, stepping on and off the scales and some pushing on the head bale, listed above as slightly stirry/stirry. All were much more settled in the yard and away from the confines of the race & crush. Quite sensible exiting the yards, initially having a bit of trot in them, out in an unfamiliar paddock. Quickly settling, then being easy to approach for photos

Young breeding females with their whole lives in front of them, boasting a long, rich history of 40 years of select Te Mania Angus genetics. Healthy young mums-to-be that offer an excellent opportunity for a buyer to secure some rich genetics in a buyers market, whilst having the opportunity to trade some old heavy cows. The Ardenside Angus Steers are always highly sought after by top end feedlots, having no trouble hitting those optimum feedlot weights (>450kg) at 14-15 months, and the Heifer portion have always attracted keen interest. These are perfect females to use as the foundations matrons to build a herd on, and retain some top quality, genetically exceptional keeper heifers from.
