Cows were preg tested the day before & had an overnight lock up. Given this, a few displayed some stubborn, evasive behaviour when being pushed into the force & race, not wanting to have to relive the previous days experience. Once through the race/crush & out the other side, they were different cattle & completely settled. Wandered out of the yards quietly & all followed the Ute around the paddock for photos & videos.

Very smart line of young A/c breeder 3in1 units to take on. ‘Prime of their life’ young cows that boast a very rich genetic history, being pure Te Mania Angus blood, coming from a combination of both the vendor bred in-house females & some more recently brought in Ex Team Te Mania Cows. The calves at foot are all bright eyed, healthy and approaching a weanable age/weight, if you wanted to take the pressure off the cows a little earlier. Cows are all Preg Tested to the Te Mania blood sires to calve within a 9 week period. An ideal line of 3in1 units that present a number of options going forward, to split calves and retain the cows, or keep the lot and start a herd on the genetic front foot.
