Extensively handled young heifers that have been been through the yards a number of times. All led up the race, were mostly very quiet on the crush, and all exited at a walk. Just one heifer who was worried & stubborn about going up the race, listed as slightly stirry in the yards. And 7 heifers doing some stomping on the scales listed as slightly stirry in the crush. It should be noted that the heifers were brought through for Preg testing just a couple of weeks prior.

Assessor Comments
Genetically very nice line of heifers to take on. This is a good opportunity to obtain some of the Chumpot pastoral rich core genetics. Rarely offered for sale, with majority of females either being retained, or sold direct. Chumpot run an extensive A.I program every year with the goal of overall breeder improvement & offspring performance. Heifers have spent the first half of the year away on agistment & have not been spoilt (and returning home to an Upper Murray WInter) which has them presenting in absolute optimal calving condition, with all the healthcare & handling boxes ticked. Shown some fresh feed, these heifers will have some compensatory weight gaining to do, and should go forward in the Spring even with a poddy at foot. Healthy young females that present a quick turn over opportunity. Commence calving in 6 weeks, for 6 weeks, then put back on the truck by the start of November, or rejoin to the bulls and appreciate the genetics they bring.
