Assessor Comments
This is an outstanding run of PTIC heifers bred, born & raised on Coronary Park. The heifers themselves are out of predominantly Sterita Park blood Angus cows by Sterita Park Angus & full red Nentoura Shorthorn sires. The line of 27 were AI’d to the well known Angus heifer sire, MOGCK Specialist 98. 10 days post AI, a Sterita Park sire was put in to back up. The preg test suggests that a very healthy percentage of the heifers will be in calf to the AI sire. The heifers themselves present in forward store condition with above average frame, length of body, shape, bone, skin type & fantastic maturity for age. As far as a personal assessment on the projected calving ease, I’d suggest that given the above current heifer description, the weight & maturity of the line combined with the known performance of the AI sire used, calving in Feb 2023 should occur with either very minimal or no issues. Future herd improvers that are very worthy of any front paddock.
