THESE COWS HANDLE EASILY IN THE YARDS, SETTLED ON THE WEIGH PLATFORM AND MOVED IN A SETTLED MANNER THROUGHOUT THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS. THERE WERE 2 COWS THAT DIDN'T SETTLE WHILE I WAS TAKING THEIR PHOTOS IN THE PADDOCK, BUT WERE FINE ONCE I LEFT

WELL BRED ANGUS HEIFERS AND CALVES IN STRONG STORE CONDITION. THESE HEIFERS ALL CALVED UNASSISTED, HAVE BEEN ON A RISING PLAIN OF NUTRITION SINCE AND HAVE BEEN REDEPASTURED TO A ROSEDALE CHAROLAIS/ANGUS COMPOSITE BULL SINCE OCTOBER. EACH CALF HAS BEEN MARKED AND VACCINATED AND IS RESPONDING THE THE IMPROVEMENT IN FEED QUALITY AS THE WEATHER WARMS UP. THERE ARE 12 STEERS AVERAGING 173kg AND 15 HEIFERS AVERAGING 154kg.
THESE YOUNG UNITS REPRESENT AN EXELLENT INVESTMENT WITH HEALTHY CALVES OFFERING AN INCOME WITH THE UPCOMING WEANERS SALES, WITH THE HEIFERS HAVING EVERY OPPORTUNITY OF BEING BACK IN CALF.
I DID OBSERVE 1 HEIFER WITH A CLOUDY NEAR SIDE EYE. ISN'T EFFECTING HER MOTHERING ABILITY
