27 x 27 -1st calf Angus Sired Heifers with 27 Angus sired calves at foot. Heifers have been re-joined to Stud Ben Nevis Angus bulls. Hfrs present in store to forward store to condition. Hfrs have been exposed to Horses, Dogs and Motorbikes/ Buggies. Heifers have been managed within a rotational grazing program being moved and handled on a regular basis. 3 heifers were noted to have vaccination lumps on neck, 1 old blue eye noted. Majority of calves are fresh, a portion of calves are drying in coats. Calves were marked 1 week prior to assessment. 6 calves were treated for fresh pink eye using Orbenin Cream & eye patches. Calves will be delivered with eye patches on if eyes aren't completely healed. Sale of heifers presents an opportunity to purchase a line of young Heifers with calves at foot to retain as future breeders or rejoin & pursue possible trade options.
