These heifers were a pleasure to handle. They responded correctly to pressure and were calm when it was released - refer video. Odd heifer moved on the scales but not a temperament concern. These heifers were classed for temperament after purchasing with a small portion sold from the line. Heifers that are comfortable with human interaction.

Assessor Comments
One mark Angus heifers purchased direct the breeder Hillcrest Pastoral, “Conkar Downs” Lucindale SA. Based on Granite Ridge and Sterita Park Angus genetics. This consignment was purchased as 2 lots in 2023 with those being April/May and Sept/October 2022 drop. These heifers had been run in bigger mobs and were classed on temperament with a small portion removed and sold prior to joining. They were a pleasure to handle through the yards with most walking comfortably off the scales and settling in the yard beside the crush. Marked calves at foot are sired by Talagai bld sires, purchased and joined to mature cows. Due to flood water these heifers were unintentionally joined. The heifers are producing a power of milk and doing a terrific job presenting calves that are sappy, thick set and very well grown for age. Heifers are medium/large framed and giving everything to their calves. Grazing clean renowned flood plains country providing ample nutrition due to a great start to the season.
