Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Experienced old girls that know the drill around the yards. Very easy to handle in the yards & force. A bit of stubborn behaviour in the crush - Not wanting to walk forward being the most common, Once we moved the scales back in the crush and gave them more room they were happier, just big women that need space to get around!

Notable Traits
Traits
1 Head Blue Cow (20+ year old throwback to the original Shorthorn herd)
1 Head Little bit of length in the back toes
1 Head White flank
Assessor Comments
Very good line of mixed aged cows. Only offered for sale due to bringing the median age of the herd down, and having an excellent result in the heifers preg testing, making these girls the surplus. These females have remained in the system by proving good fertility & producing a calf every year, remaining sound in the feet & udder and always holding condition, making them the ideal breeder to retain a heifer calf out of if you wanted to go that way. Big, long bodied, deep matrons that will give you a standout calf with excellent growth for age, fertility and longevity and will still have many good years of breeding to give. Alternatively, these females are only weeks away from calving now and will present a good split opportunity in an increasing market. Cows that have been good honest income producers every year and are thus realistically priced at their kill value to give them the best chance at heading back to the paddock.
