Susie Chisholm's program has been ACR Performance Recording this herd for 36 years. 'Gwalia' first became a member of 'Team TeMania' in 1990 which now consists of 20,000 cows with a total of 12 herds in the Progeny Test Group. The increased volume of data coming from the 'Team' increases the accuracy of genetic predictions; all Members have full access to the most elite genetics available at TeMania. This is 'Part 2' of the 'Gwalia' Complete Herd Dispersal. They tag and weigh calves at birth which links the calf to the Dam and the Bull. Susan Chisholm is a great believer in educating weaners who are very quick to learn, and those lessons stay with them all their life. The steer portion on Gwalia are grown out and sold to Rangers Valley for their 'Black Onyx' brand, which requires a 5+ marble score Angus Beef. The ‘Gwalia’ herd recently received an updated report from BreedPlan, there up-to-date Gestation Length -4.5 Birth Weight 3.6 Days to Calving -6.5 EMA 5.5 - 6 IMF 4.6

The ‘Gwalia’ cattle have been apart of the Team TeMania Angus breeding program for 35 years. The whole herd Avgs 4.6 for IMF & 19.5 for Docility - exceptional results for a commercial herd.

Excellent improved pastures of rye, phalaris & clover in terrific conditon.

We tag and weigh calves at birth which links the calf to the Dam and Sire. All of the 'Gwalia' Females are ACR recorded, we have also started Genomic testing over the last 3 years which enables more accurate selection decisions within our herd.
