These animals seemed to handle much better in a smaller area opposed to a larger drafting pen where they burrowed and/or showed a brisk pace when leaving an exit gate.

Due to a change in their operational direction, Millbrook Farms are offering a tremendous opportunity for a potential buyer to purchase classed in breeding females under genuine dispersal conditions. Initially the operation was running an Autumn & Spring calving program which saw the genuine pure bred Hereford animals bred in Spring only. In recent times a management decision was made to significantly increase the entire Spring calving model which illustrates the fact you are purchasing genuine classed in animals that were destined to be retained for in herd use. These rising two year old Heifers present in an ideal calving condition, spending the previous four weeks roaming around the hilly country of Millbrook to prepare them for their upcoming first calving. My belief is that they will grow into a large framed female based on the fact their dams are averaging close to 650kg lwt. There has been no expense spared when purchasing sires from the well renown Yavenvale Hereford Stud & it is evident in the exceptional phenotype these females possess. This particular consignment represents the third draft of Hereford x Hereford heifers that weighed 430kg - 500kg at assessment.
