The heifers and calves were a pleasure to handle at assessment. A small few heifers got agitated when mouthed but all stood on the scales to be weighed and didn't rush out of the crush.

Assessor Comments
Presenting a nice line of heifers with their first calf at foot and PTIC back to good quality Angus sires. 3 in 1 units with big sappy calves on them which explains the lighter condition of the mothers. These heifers were all pregnant at assessment ( tested day before) with the vet commenting on certificate the majority are between 12 and 18 weeks ( 1 red tag). There are 22 steer calves and 12 heifer calves which have been marked. One calf was dehorned recently (pics) and is almost healed up. The heifers are doing a great job on the calves and the season has helped. The cattle had a big lock up prior to assessment due to mothering and preg testing the day before. I observed 2 heifers with hazy eyes on one side and 1 heifer with a blue eye (see pics). There is 1 red calf and approx 4 other calves showing some Bos cross. NOTE: Another lot of 12 C&C same property, same mark and ages in this sale would make a nice B Double. Young breeders to take advantage of a bright cattle future.
