Cows were respectful, calm, and pliable at all times, despite being seperated from their calves. Only one cow was high headed and seemed anxious to return to her calf. Video should be used as reference.

A line of coastal bred, crossbred, cows that are doing a tremendous job rearing their good quality calves. Cows are mixed ages, ranging from 3 to 7 years, and all display a sound mouth. The cows present in strong store condition with their calves sappy and healthy. One cow and one calf were treated at asessment for mild pinkeye. One cow observed with a cap off the near side hip. One cow with an elongated scissor toe on the near side front (observed to be slightly lame at time of assessment), use video as reference. Consider ideal to retain the quality calves at foot and fatten the cows, or alternatively they have a number of years productivity in front of them to retain for future calvings.
