Assessor Comments
The Bawden family have a long and reputable history of breeding quality Shorthorn cattle and offer 37x37 principally heifers & calves that carry leading edge pure Spry’s genetics. These females were classed in heifers & are only being offered as part of their final herd dispersal. These matrons of the future are doing an excellent job with their calves at foot & can only be described as very quiet presenting in store to forward store condition showing all the important maternal traits you look for in quality commercial females (milk, phenotype & structure). These quality units will complement any commercial herd. I would describe as predominantly medium to large frame with a curfewed weight of 520kg. Calves at foot avg 168kg & were marked & vaccinated with their first 5in1 shot at assessment. Please note two heifers & one calf had pink eye scarring, two cows/heifers observed with long/curly toes & one heifer observed with a small patch of ringworm, please refer to media.
