Cattle were generally good to handle with no issues. One cow showed maternal instincts when approached its calf.

Assessor Comments
A good line of 38 aged cows with 38 good quality calves at foot( 1-5 months of age). These cows have been born and raised in the Mulga country of south west Queensland. They present in store condition and would strive ahead on soft feed whilst continuing to raise a quality calf. Vendor estimates 10-13 years of age however, there is no age brands please see dentition. At assessment one cow had a scar down the near side front shoulder, one with a capped hip, one with a hip off and one with a sway back which had small lumps on her neck. There was one the had a teat missing and one a little straight in the back legs. Also noticed 2 cows with very slight Wagyu attributes. They are ideal units to fatten and spit and take advantage of the current market.

Grazing Conditions
Cattle have been running in mulga country all of their lives on the vendors western country. They have been bought into Mossvale one week ago where they have been put in a paddock of Buffel and creek country with a fresh green shoot in grass.
