Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Temperament is a very high priority of the Scott family, both in their stud & commercial herd. These heifers were all well behaved throughout assessment, coming through the race, standing on the scales and exiting all in a sensible & respectable manner. Some heifers were a bit anxious leading in from the forcing yard, after their last visit was to be preg tested. Led out in to the paddock quietly for photos, settled in a corner and started grazing. Very well behaved females.

Assessor Comments
Est in 1956, the Scott family have been producing Angus cattle of excellent quality for well over 60 years. With an overall key focus on structural soundness, sustainable growth, & continuing to progress the maternal attributes, in particular, calving ease. These are large framed, soft skinned females with a roomy, easy doing, maternal style about them. Long & deep with plenty of leg underneath, and very good bone. Originally joined with the intention of targeting the feature female sale in January as ‘point of calving’ females. An unforgiving season & a need for feed has meant these heifers paddocks will be cut for hay, and they need to find a new home. Heifers that present a perfect opportunity to take advantage of the current climate and improve the quality of an existing herd, or start out on the front foot with an impressive line of hard to fault females bred from the heart of the Scott’s Angus herd.
