Heifers were drafted twice through an air operated six way draft at saleyards. First time was to split heifers off calves & the second time was to assess them. Heifers are not aggressive as they do not come out of the pack at you but are stirry as they struggle to block when drafting in round yard or running up a lane way. Heifers require an experienced stock handler & a low pressure drafting environment. Heifers would prefer to fold in on each other rather then run away in a selling pen.

Assessor Comments
A line of Droughtmaster Cross heifers with Droughtmaster & Angus calves @ foot presenting in predominantly store condition. These Heifers were purchased as a low dollar trade opportunity but due to Agistment arrangements changing it has caused a quick sale. With the rising cattle market across all categories as well as heading into an enormous spring for natural feed within numerous states this lot of heifers & calves presents value as they can grow the calves out for a split trade opportunity or able to join heifers again to use as future breeders with plenty of youth on their side. Note: Heifers & calves have been in a saleyard complex for the past 7 days in which they are now on natural pasture at back of saleyards to get through the next few days of rain causing muddy yards. Small portion of calves are marked but mostly are unmarked. A couple of heifers show some rub marks which aren't deemed detrimental & 1 calf @ assessment had a sore back foot but will be examined @ delivery.

A tidy line of low dollar Heifers & calves that represent value with an unbelievable spring season ahead. Heifers were purchased as a trade opportunity but agistment block did not eventuate. Don't miss a great opportunity with a realistic reserve.
