Temperament not assessed in Paddock
All cows worked well through the yards. Some cows did become quite agitated in the pound and force when being drafted, obviously impeding their flight zone and this was particularly evident if they got isolated. They did however settle down when they returned to the mob. They were very good to handle in the crush whilst being weighed and exited well. Definitely no cattle considered aggressive. Vendor did note they are very good to handle in the paddock on horses. Allow time to settle on arrival.

Assessor Comments
A good quality line of Crossbred cows with calves at foot. These young 1st calvers have grown out well and presented in store to forward store condition. They are right in their breeding prime now and will offer a buyer many years of breeding. They have had the opportunity back to Angus bulls since 20th December. Would be advisable to put a bull back in after arrival just in case there are a few that have been missed. They are doing a pretty good job on their calves and appear to be milking well, only the odd calf that is marginally plainer in condition. Now that the seasonal conditions have changed for the better over a wide area of the eastern states securing breeders especially with a calf on the ground would be justifiable in any operation considering the sting in the weaner and yearling markets at present. Did notice 3 cows with old fly rub and an additional cow with old blue eye scarring but sight seems unaffected. Note there are two lots in this sale to fill a 4.5 deck unit.
