A top quality line of mixed age cows with very fresh calves at foot. They were depastured to a Blackstone Angus bull from 31-8-21, bull still in. The calves were sired by a Black Simmental Composite bull. He was 75% Angus and 25% Black Simmy. One calf showing as a Black Baldy, the balance all black. A very docile mob of cows, which were a pleasure to handle. They present as good type cows in generally strong forward store to forward order. The cows are predominately Black Angus, but there are a small number of Black Baldies, Red Angus and one of Murray Grey in the mob.
A sample portion was mouthed, proving to be mainly good sound full mouths, with the odd 6 tooth and one full mouth with the slightest hint of a wobbly tooth. The calves are August/Sept 2021 drop and have been marked. They present in very fresh order, averaging 185kg. The cows have been running back with a Black Angus bull, so could be a three in one unit.
