None were aggressive at all but clearly look to rejoin the mob. Reluctant to stand quietly and exit briskly but stand quietly in the mob. I would expect run in smaller mobs and paddocks to further educate.

A nice run of 178 PTIC young simmental cows. Purchased in march from the breeder Cluden Pastoral P/L at Taroom in Qld. Were advised they were principally 31/2-4 years and not given a breeding opportunity due to prevailing dry conditions. They have been AI'd to a very high quality bull TeMania Model M1204 and then backup covered by top quality Temania bulls. Note the short joining period. The cattle show the good frame and growth but lesser condition that simmentals are well known for. PTIC to high quality angus bulls they represent young breeders with many years in front of them. They run to each other in both paddock and yards reflecting the limited handling and large numbers of Qld properties. They have settled a little in the time at Cortina and I would expect them to settle further in smaller mobs and paddocks. Offered as a fair run out the gate in truck lots. These were run off the scale at 550 kg plus and present very well. 2 were noticed with very minor old eye clouding.
