Majority of these animals handled okay during assessment although it was evident perhaps a reduction in handling over the previous few years has had a negative affect on their temperament. There did not seem to be any malicious intent apparent, just a desire not be confined within the yards. In fairness, they had just been pregnancy tested the day prior & were not as cooperative as you would like. I believe an increase of handling over a period of time would settle these animals down.

The well renown Kelly Angus breeding program are offering a complete dispersal of their core breeding animals. Please note; All animals are being offered for sale are on a commercial basis only with no genomic or BreedPlan figures available from the vendor. This particular draft represents the PTIC "V Tag" Heifer portion with whole age group being offered. With many years of improved genetics & selective breeding allows a successful purchaser to acquire an animal with their whole lives in front of them. Joined to selected Angus sires that were bred by Kelly Angus with no EBVs available, although management has full confidence in their selection of fit for purpose. With seasonal conditions being slightly unfavorable over the previous twelve months these heifers are not quite as heavy as the vendor would prefer & we believe given the right opportunity there will be a significant increase in their weight over the next short period of time.
