Assessor Comments
Quality line of Angus & Angus X Angus/Hereford cows with calves at foot. These Cows would be ideal units to carry through and fatten as a heavy export carcass, or keep as breeders, all while maintaining a quality weaner. The cows mouthed at assessment were sound in the mouth. Cows carry 20 steer calves and 25 heifer calves, cows have been joined over 12 weeks to a TEXAS high-quality Angus bull. Calves are very sappy and range from 87Kg to 230Kg, with approximately 12 calves in the lower weight range, 19 calves around the average weight, and approx. 14 calves would be in that higher weight bracket. The calves are marked and 2 sets of twin calves observed with a suspected 3rd set within the group.
