Cows are in the prime of their lives ranging from 3 to 9 years old and averaging 714.4KG at assessment. Cows are doing an excellent job on fresh calves at foot which range from 2 to 8 weeks old and averaged 87KG at assessment. Cows have been core breeders within the Sturgiss Pasture cattle enterprise with cows only being offered due to a reduction in carrying capacity. Cows are sired by high performance King Angus Bulls and originate out of large frame Angus x Hereford & Hereford cows. Calves sired by King Angus, Milwillah Angus and Hazeldean Angus Bulls. Cows are sound mouths with age break up as follows; 4 Cows - 3 Years Old, 7 Cows - 4 Years Old, 9 Cows - 5 Years Old, 6 Cows - 6 Years Old, 8 Cows - 7 Years Old, 8 Cows - 9 Years Old. Calves will be marked and vaccinated at delivery. Cows were a pleasure to work with in yards and holding paddock during assessment and weighing process. Cows are vendor bred with vendor recording ages and all animal health treatment records annually. Herd is annually classed with heifers retained within program being selected on early maturity, temperament, fertility and type.

Cows are currently grazing improved pasture consisting of Phalaris, Cocksfoot and Clover's. Cows have been running in undulating country.
