Assessor Comments
44 cows PTIC from 6 weeks detectable through to 6 months detectable. Cows have been continuously with bulls. Cows are mostly in store condition ranging in age from 7 to 12 years old. Prior to the rain in late February cows were fed on pulled or cut Mulga, since the rain the pasture has improved with good natural Buffel grass and native herbage presenting them in a fresher condition. Cows have continued to be proven breeders by presenting in calf under the dry conditions of last year and early this year. At assessment 3 cows had their horns tipped, 6 presented with small scarring in the eye, considered to be not detrimental . At assessment it was noted that 14 cows had signs of lice rubbing. Overall these cows would hit their straps and given access for a prolonged period of time on fresh feed should start to fatten well.
