Assessor Comments
Genuine dispersal of cows and calves presenting as a sound line of 2nd & 3rd calvers, predominantly Newnham and Merridale bloodlines. These females were purchased from local breeders and have been managed as a complete herd. Calves at foot are sired by Jade Park and Newnhams Angus bulls. The cows have come through a tough Autumn and Winter and are now starting to respond to improving pastures, with additional hay supplementation every second day. Despite the tough season, they have still produced an honest line of calves. These are all framey cows with plenty of capacity to fatten as spring conditions strengthen. They have been running back with a Jade Park Angus bull since the 19th of May. Please note: one calf was marked at assessment, with the balance marked earlier.
