Due to a change in their operational direction, Millbrook Farms are offering a tremendous opportunity for a potential buyer to purchase classed in breeding females under genuine dispersal conditions. Approximately eight years ago Millbrook Farms opted to introduce a
Shorthorn bloodline into their Autumn calving herd for added hybrid vigor & to spread their risk in the market place. Initially they were running an Autumn & Spring calving program which saw the Shorthorn infused animals bred in Autumn only. In recent times a management decision was made to change the entire herd to a Spring calving model which sees these animals calve down as a 2.5 year old female. They are quite a large framed maternal female that will grow into a beautiful mature Cow one day. There has been no expense spared when purchasing sires from the well renown Yavenvale Hereford Stud & it is evident in the exceptional phenotype these females possess. This particular consignment represents the top draft of Hereford x Shorthorn heifers that weighed 600kg+ at assessment.
