Generally a good mob of crossbred cows to handle. Flowed through yards with reasonably little stress in what were trying circumstances for man and beast due to recent rains. Odd cow stirred a little as calves were drafted off, although nothing out of the normal for the breed type and soon settle back into the mob. On leaving the yards just wondered out - no rushing and no running once in the paddock. Cattle that looked to settle quickly.

Assessor Comments
Although quite a mixed mob of young cows and calves showing plenty of scope to trade on. Cows are in strong, fresh store condition and would benefit from a warmer climate and greater abundance of feed. Calves are unmarked and remain fresh and should bound forward given the right conditions Purchased ex Winton and charters Towers last September as a larger run of PTIC heifers. These are the later calving cows from the mob. The earlier dropped weaners were sold on Aplus some weeks ago. The mothers to those calves also appear in this sale as joined and PTIC cows. The Bongongo Angus bulls have run continuously since 1st December through until assessment on the 10th May. Preg testing took place on 1st May detecting pregnancies down to 6 weeks at that time. Obviously actual pregnancies should be greater than listed if cows were to be re tested in 6 weeks time. A good run of store cows and calves worthy of closer consideration
