Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The heifers were freshly run in, and being quite large in a not ideal setup, it took quite a while for some to settle on the scale, not so much from temperament, but simply because they took a long time to set all four feet on the scale, and so became agitated. Big cattle in a small yard with strangers.

Assessor Comments
An attractive yard of large Angus cross heifers that were joined later than usual, not for any other reason than it just took a while to decide to join them. The heifers have not missed a joining. These heifers show some Euro influence in their background and this may explain their size. It must be said that due to their size and weight, weighing was a little problematic, and in a couple of cases the scales were bowing enough that they may have underweighed on the soft dirt race surface. They are joined to Talis Quinoa, Q405, a bull with a Birth weight figure of +3.7, 400 day weight of +91, 600 day weight of +119, Milk +21, and IMF of +2.4. The heifers would make a nice addition to any herd. The vendor has 15 Angus heifers and 3 other Angus cross heifers joined to the same bull in the same sale.
