Assessor Comments
Presenting a line of Poll Hereford Heifers PTIC with their second calf. They are tested in calf to Narranmore Angus bulls to start calving August for 10 weeks. These heifers have just had big weaners taken off them which has left them in store condition. They did a very good job on their first calf (offered in weaner sale) and are obviously very forward with their next calf. The cattle were originally purchased out of the Monaro breeder sales as weaners, grown out and joined and the vendor purchased them PTIC in May 2022. The cows have plenty of frame, good pigmentation and are true to type. The vendor will have a realistic reserve on these young breeders creating an excellent opportunity to secure good quality future breeders or a trade which should see a relatively quick return with calves on the ground soon. I noticed 3 heifers with a slight eye blemish from old pink eye scarring. Some of the heifers showing a slightly bleached look as feed has dried off. ( see pics)
