Assessor Comments
A rare but great opportunity to secure a line of very well bred EU Angus PTIC heifers that come from a breeding program of over 40 years in the business. The Rafferty family pride them selves in breeding Quality cattle that consistently meet the needs of feedlots and processors. Heifers are bred from a large framed quality cow herd of Quality New England Genetics including Wattle Top, Glenavon, Eastern Plains & Glen Morgan angus. Continuing dry conditions coming into winter see's a very regrettable sale of these replacement breeders, heifers are at good avg weight of 447 kg full and will continue to grow into large frame females consistent with Javor herd, Heifers had great conception rates showing great fertility. The valve is in the genetics of these heifers, this year the Javor steer weaners toped the A + market for that week making 561 cents at 302 kg. Calving from mid July onwards for 8 weeks to LBW quality angus bulls, Quality females from a consistent proven breeding program.
