Heifers were good to handle in the paddock and yards at assessment. During individual assessment (crush-side) a large
majority of the heifers were happy to stand without pressure, however when mouthing a few were noted to
be uncomfortable with the close interaction. Heifers were fine in bigger yards in a mob and easy to count through gateway
etc.

A good line of mostly very good quality, young, predominantly red, future breeders with good bone and confirmation. Some very impressive Polled Droughtmaster heifers in this mob. This paddock mob consists of 111 head which were all assessed individually. Being sold as 2 lots of 2 decks being: 56 head (this lot) and 55 head (next lot in catalogue). The following was noted in relation to colour throughout 111 head : 3 baldy faced heifers and another 3 with white belly's, 1 red roan heifer showing strong Shorthorn throwback, 5 brindle heifers along with 10 black nosed heifers. Heifers were purchased as stores to go on to be replacement breeders in November from the Glenmorgan district but due to a change in circumstances, they are back on the market. Mostly tidy heads, no horn present over 2-3inches in length at most. 4 heifers were noted to be tipped but all horn is tidy and close to the head. The 2 lines will be a Run of the Gate Draft (4 head to mob A, next 4 head to Mob B).
