Heifers were quite fizzy throughout assessment. Lacking education, & haven’t had any proper time spent with them teaching them manners. They knew the process in the yards, & made their way up the race, & moved between the yards fast, but OK. 1 Heifer became upset when she ended up in a yard by herself, just getting a bit snotty, she wasn’t serious, but might bluff a less experienced handler. Cattle that just need education and handling from a proper cattleman.

Assessor Comments
Pure Hazeldean Angus blood heifers that are structurally correct and present as a very nice line of heifers. Females that have a maternal style about them, with a long, deep barrel, pretty head, and good heavy skin, with most beginning to show a good soft bag forming underneath them. The lack of education, and therefore ordinary manners are the only thing that gives these otherwise very stylish heifers a flaw. Originally purchased for their genetics to start the foundations of a core herd, now offered for sale due to the fall through of a lease paddock. Females that would suit to a buyer with experience handling nervy cattle with a bigger flight zone, to run as part of a larger, more educated mob and put some proper handling and education in to them.
