COWS WERE A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH IN THE YARDS. ONE COW BECAME AGITATED IN THE CRUSH BYT SETTLED ONCE BACK IN THE MOB. I DID OBSERVE 1 COW [PANDA EYES] THAT GAVE ME AN AGITATED LOOK WHEN I MOVED TOWARDS THE MOB TO TAKE PHOTOS & THE VIDEO. MY OPINION IS THAT SHE WAS VERY PROTECTIVE OF THE CALVES BUT CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN WHEN WORKING THIS ONE.

A NEAT SMALL LOT OF VENDOR BRED, QUALITY AGED POLL HEREFORD COWS WITH STEER CALVES AT FOOT. COWS WERE MOUTHED AND ALL MOUTHS ARE SOUND BUT WORN TO HALF LENGTH & SHORT. CONDITION SCORE IS GOOD FRESH FORWARD STORE AND THE COWS SHOW GOOD DEPTH & LENGTH OF BODY, WITH A NICE RICH RED COAT. CLEAN OPEN FACES. NO BURR. SOUND IN THE HOOF AND UDDER. ALL THE CALVES ARE STEERS & ARE IN FRESH SAPPY FORWARD CONDITION WHICH STATES THE COWS ARE DOING A GREAT JOB. STEERS SHOW GOOD MUSCLING & WILL DEVELOP INTO VERY HANDY STEERS FOR ALL MARKETS. THE WHOLE UNIT WERE BEING DRENCHED AND VACCINATED AFTER THE ASSESSMENT AND THE CALVES WILL BE MARKED. GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE ON, GROW THE CALVES OUT TO HEAVIER WEIGHTS & RUN THE BULLS OVER THE COWS AGAIN. I AM CONFIDENT THE COWS COULD DO ANOTHER COUPLE OF CALVES. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OWNER HAS NOT USED CHEMICALS ON THE PROPERTY FOR 20 YEARS, THEREFORE THEY ARE COMING OF CLEAN CHEMICAL FREE COUNTRY, EVEN THOUGH THE PROPERTY IS NOT ORGANICALLY CERTIFIED.
