Mixed breeding in this lot but only real question mark on breed background is the red & white cow which looks to have some Maine Anjou in pedigree. She produced a black calf last season.

Cows were very good to handle. Did note one blue roan cow which tended to be on the move a bit but generally the cows were quite good to handle and assess.

Assessor Comments
Offering a small draft of PTIC cows out of a productive and functional herd. Cows present mainly in forward order (one cow plainer) and are moderate framed, deep bodied females. They were PTIC on 28/2 to the Angus sire Rennylea P616 and were good to handle at assessment. A few breeds are represented in the background but these cows have consistently produced black, badly or dark roan calves in the past having been joined to the Angus bull. The Cheviot Hills herd produce cattle targeted principally at the heavy feeder market and have had consistent repeat interest. With the outlook for the beef industry very positive, don’t miss the chance to add proven & functional PTIC Angus females at an affordable price point.
