Assessor Comments
68 Quality young Angus Cows, PTIC to Waitara Angus bulls. 2 1/2 years of age. Last stage female dispersal due to season. These cows are true blue, young breeders, for genuine sale. This lot are vendor bred. Waitara sires used for all calves and a large majority of the female bloodlines. Waitara's breed objectives as a stud are: 1. Fertile, easy calving females (that calve at two years old and every year after) 2. High growth rates whilst maintaining softness 3. A balance of desirable carcass attributes 4. Structural soundness for maximum longevity 5. Balanced EBVs These young cows averaged 425kg at assessment, have not long had large weaners taken from them and are filling out nicely after a tight summer. Will average well north of 500kg in a reasonable season. Ideal as young replacements or an excellent footstool into the cattle industry. Quiet young cows that will be an asset to any operation. Total of 128 second calvers (2.5 year olds) in this sale, plus 26 x 3.5 yr old sisters.
