Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
Cows are in mostly forward store to store condition. They are strong and will travel ok but care would be needed to transport them and the calves over a significant distance.

Assessor Comments
A mostly good to very good quality line of Angus, DM, Charbray and Brahman cross cows with calves at foot. Some of the cows had weaners taken off them 10 days prior to assessing and it was difficult to separate the wet and recently weaned cows. Consequently there are more cows than calves in the mob. The cows are continuously joined to Angus bulls so there is a high chance any cows without calves will be in calf to Raff and Lawson Angus bulls. The calves have been sired by good quality Angus bulls and ranged from 52 to 194 kg to avg 131 kg. The cows are rising 6 to rising 9 years old and are being sold due to season. All cows were mouthed at assessment, with all good sound mouth in this assessment with just one cow showing some wear on her teeth. Feet, eyes and udders are in line with what to expect with cows this age. They all have been run in a cell grazing operation and are familiar with electric fences. An ideal mob to take and split.

PICK OF 3 FULL FLUSH HEIFERS
Palgrove Charolais
· Flush · Charolais · Sire: PLEASE SEE CATALOGUE · Dam: PLEASE SEE CATALOGUE · PK25W83E, PK25W44E, PK25W53E (Pick of 3 flush sisters) True to our word, when we release females of this calibre it’s a genuine opportunity to secure the very best our program has to offer — something we don’t do more than twice in a decade. These three full flush sisters, all from one of our elite donor females, represent a rare chance for new or established stud breeders to invest in a future donor female with enormous upside. We couldn’t split them, so the choice is yours — and what a statement they would make at the World Congress in Brisbane this August. They are out of a proven donor female and sired by Rockerfella, who sold to the Ascot Stud for $100,000 in 2022. His first sons featured in last year’s sale, with 20 sons selling to average $20,737, underlining the consistency and demand for this sire line. They also have a full flush brother from the same program who is something truly special. If we don’t retain him, he will feature as a highlight bull in the yearling section of our September sale. Their dam has an outstanding production record, with 20 recorded progeny before the age of five, returning over $100,000 in her first year of sales from just five progeny. This included Ultrahot, who sold to Futurity Charolais for $40,000, and another daughter who sold to Black Duck Charolais for $18,000 as a 10-month-old heifer, who has since entered their donor program. The granddam is also a prominent donor with progeny reaching $36,000. A further first-calf Landmark daughter retained in our herd and full sister to Ultrahot ($40,000) was flushed this year, producing 14 eggs, reinforcing the exceptional fertility and consistency of this female line. You take the choice — and ‘Make your Mark’ on the Charolais breed.
