7 x 7 Poll Hereford Heifers with their first calf at foot by a Dalkeith Poll Hereford bull. Heifers were bought from a local reputable breeder as yearling heifers and joined and calved out. Heifers and calves were a pleasure to handle and flowed through the yards with ease. Heifers are well grown and present plenty of frame to work with and will continue to go ahead well given the opportunity. Heifers have been running on frosted Kikuyu and supplemented with silage since calving. Please note one Heifer calf did have a swollen rear left foot and was treated with penicillin at assessment (See photo attached) 24/5/24 and will be treated again on the 26/5/24.
