On the whole these cows worked well through the yards and race, a few cows were assessed as Stirry and slightly stirry, they had small calves and it is believed they were being protective of them.

Assessor Comments
A rare opportunity to purchase good boned, mostly large framed, very good and good quality, genuine Droughtmaster breeders and calves account of the vendor. Only being sold due to dry weather, not culls, vendor just ran in a paddock of cows and calves to be sold. 65% of these cows are 7 years old or younger. Vendor for years has successfully bred quality bulls and turned off bullocks out of these cows for many years. Being continually joined it is thought there is likely to be many cows back in calf, making them 3 in 1 packages. Thumping calves, these cows have been putting plenty of milk into them despite one of the worst seasons on record. All but a few fresh calves were marked 2 weeks ago and some of the steers are still showing some swelling in their purses.
