Cows worked through a very good set of modern new yards with a big curved race etc. They stood up very well in the crush whilst being weighed but those that were mouthed did resent it a bit but not uncommon. In the bigger yards whilst being moved around from yard to yard they were great with no temperament issues recognized at all. Buyers urged to allow cows to settle and mother up properly before being taken to their paddock.

Assessor Comments
A line of basically younger type cows best described as mainly medium frame that still have plenty of life left in them for further breeding. They present in store to forward store condition and for a good reason. They have absolutely cracking calves that average 171kgs swinging off them. The calves are very sappy (except for 1-2 a little bit drier). The bigger calves have been branded/cut so only the smaller calves still to be done. There is a lot of Buffalo Fly on them at the moment causing them a fair amount of discomfort but they were to be sprayed after assessment to alleviate this issue. There was one cow and calf that didn't make it to the yards as the calf is only small and isn't reflected in the weights of those that were weighed. The weight of the cow was also an estimate. Unknown why there is an extra calf at this stage. Season will allow to leave calves on the cows and keep punching milk into them. Cows will only reach medium weights as slaughter cows when their time is up.
