72 First Calf heifers with 40 calves at foot and the balance are heavy pregnant and will calve in the next 3 months. This line of young breeders were all joined to Grey Brahman Bulls early in 2023 and Bulls were taken out in June. The calves are fresh to 8 weeks and are doing well with mothers producing good milk on the fresh feed at present. The heifers that have calved are in store condition as it was reasonably dry prior to November rain. The heavy pregnant ones all show very visible signs of being in calf and are in good condition. I would expect these heifers to grow into reasonable framed breeders.
